If the topic wasn’t so serious, I might be laughing about the federal government’s statement of defence to a Charter challenge against one of its policies. The statement responds to the advocacy group Canadian Women’s Sex Based Rights (CAWSBAR), which is challenging the policy of allowing men who identify as women to transfer into federal women’s prisons.

The new school year had not even officially started yet in Colorado Springs when an award-winning teacher found herself in hot water for wearing a t-shirt stating simply that men and women have different chromosomes.

Stacy Adair is a teacher for “English Language Learners” at Wilson Elementary School in Colorado Springs School District 11. When attending a teacher preparation day on August 6th, Adair chose to wear a t-shirt stating a simple biological reality: “XX≠XY.”

Anyone mildly familiar with the controversy over “gender affirming” care will be aware that proponents for this medical scandal have insisted that there is to be no debate on trans health care — and that debate is not only tantamount to heresy, but could end the lives or very existence of transgender identified persons. Critics are often met with the refrain, “the science is settled,” when they ask questions about the wisdom or safety of transitioning gender-confused minors.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in October will start recognizing detransitioning — reversing gender “transition” mutilation — in official diagnosis codes for purposes of insurance billing and data collection.

Vice President J.D. Vance last week called for the jailing of medical professionals fraudulently using medical billing codes to get insurance to cover the castration and genital mutilation of children claiming to be “transgender.” But on the other side of that issue are the thousands of young people who were brutally maimed by predator doctors and have little recourse to try to reverse some of the interventions.

In January 2025, a transgender man from Wisconsin applied for asylum in Canada with the hope of attaining permanent refugee status. The person, who is biologically female, had visited the country several times prior and had even gotten engaged to a Canadian. But after a year and a half of asylum proceedings, the applicant was met with rejection: just a couple of weeks ago, the Federal Court issued a decision green-lighting the individual’s deportation.

A new Statistics Canada report says Canada is becoming less accepting of gender diversity.

In 2025, 77 per cent of women and 70 per cent of men surveyed said they agreed or strongly agreed that people should be free to express their gender however they choose.

That’s a drop from 2018, when 85 per cent of women and 78 per cent of men agreed.
